On an intrnational level we actively work into India through an ongoing Orphanage work that was started there some years ago through the ministry of Ivan Squillino, who is an evangelist on the staff of Destiny Ministries.

The Spirit of Liberty Children’s Orphanage was established in 1996 in Deegipur, Orissa. The region of Orissa in India sits on the Bay of Bengal. The Orphanage provides care for 20 children aged between 4 years and 15 years. Many children have lost their parents due to natural disasters occurring in the Bay of Bengal. The region is particularly prone to severe flooding. Orissa is one of the poorest states in India and there are many social and health needs exacerbated by poverty. The Orphanage provides love and support for the children. All the children attend both primary and secondary education locally. A number of the older children also attend college where they are studying commerce. The Orphanage has developed and grown its own community garden which is fully self sustaining in terms of providing for all of the nutritional needs of the children.

We are presently planning future development programmes which will include developing the facilities at the Orphanage further together with meeting the needs of local widows who have no source of income and live in extreme poverty. We desire to expand our programmes but can do this only with your help. Help us bring love, compassion and a practical solution to the Community.
