Destiny Glasgow Teams

At Destiny, serving is one of our core values. We believe it is an exciting opportunity to serve God and contribute to the growth of the church.

Serving basically means rolling up your sleeves and getting involved. A good way to start serving is by joining one of the many teams in the church.

Our church is comprised of a great variety of people doing a wide range of things to make our meetings and our church engaging, welcoming and full of life.

On the back of this brochure you will find names of team leaders and descriptions of the teams that we have available.

Connections Team - Craig Denham

Church welcome team and prayer partners having initial contact with all those who respond to the appeal in meetings. Pre meeting preparations, welcoming people as they enter the hall and showing them available seats.

Musicians - Sue Owen

Praise and worship for Sundays, Healing meetings, Street Outreaches and so much more.

Choir - Paul & Handri Cronje

Support of the worship at church meetings.

PA & Recording - Ron McLean

Recording and engineering live sound within the church building, setting up, repairing and transporting equipment.

Graphics - Ron Mclean

Responsible for all graphics displayed on the main screen during meetings.

TV Team - Ron Mclean

Producing programmes and music videos for broadcast on the Sky satellite network and reaching the world via the internet. Also internal video projects for the Destiny Ministries Network.

Destiny Kids

Church for the pre-school kids & 5-12yr olds - introducing them to the heart of God, through fun activities, making church relevant for the kids.

Resources - Carly Shearer

Bookshop and resource management, MP3, CD production and distribution.

Storehouse - Susan Coupland

Sourcing food and essential items to provide hampers to those in need



Cleaning

Maintain the cleanliness of the church building ensuring high standards of presentation.

Lighting - Garry Macdonald

Controlling the lighting and various effects in the main hall during all church meeting.

Counseling / Pastoral Care - David Thomson

Individual counseling, pre marriage counseling and marriage care & pastoral skills courses.

Urban Mission - Joanne Morrison

Street Church, Youth and Community Outreach.

Destiny Bravehearts - Rose Johnston

12 step recovery and support group to help people to recover from addiction and compulsive behaviour.

GNR8 Youth Ministry - Dan Owen

Helping the youth in this city find their purpose in Christ. Opportunities on Thurs and Fri evenings.

Sign Language - Bev Willis

Providing basic sign language in Sunday meetings for people with hearing difficulties.

Healing Meetings - Ivan Squillino

Planning, organizing and serving at healing meetings.

Destiny Angels - Susan Coupland

Answering calls and responding to requests to provide practical or spiritual support.

Mums & Toddlers

Midweek group for pre-school kids and parents.
