Q. Is
God political-which party would he vote for?
A. God
votes for the right choice regardless which party
promotes it.
His choices are based on mercy and justice. Don’t
abuse those who have no voice or the weakest of our
society. (Like the unborn baby, the pensioner, the
single parent the asylum seeker or the destitute)
Shame to any MP or MSP who neglects to fight the
cause of those from whom they know they can get little
support when they know there is a miscarriage of
justice. But God also encourages personal responsibility.
Policies that encourage personal progress and corporate
responsibility should be applauded.
Every politician
in power should be prayed for and supported as much
as possible, they do a tough job. And every politician
in power should be fully aware that not only are
they accountable to the people at the election but
unto God who sees every hidden deal and transaction.
All power is temporary. You have been loaned it for
a while.
OUTCOME
Votes.
Active in our community. Passion to make a difference. |

Q. Why do bad things
happen to good people?
A. There
are at least three reasons
- Stuff just happens. No one is directly to blame.
- Bad life choices. Drugs, smoking, multiple sexual
partners etc. Every decision has a consequence
- The force of evil in the world. There is an evil
force at work seeking to deliberately destroy your
health, wealth and happiness. Grips the hearts
of people through greed and bitterness. They then
act in uncontrollable ways often destroying themselves
and others.
OUTCOME
Make
wiser choices. Start realising that they must resist
evil and do good. Don’t blame God
when it goes wrong. Help those who have suffered.
See life more clearly.
Q. What
does God think about gays and lesbians?
A. Exactly
the same as the rest of the world. He loves them
passionately. But they like every one else need to
be saved from their sins. God is not homophobic or
racist. He offers life to all and any that turn to
him. |

Q. What about other faiths? Don’t all roads lead
to God?
A. Not
according to Jesus. Jesus taught two very important
things
- We are to love
others. This means that true Christianity as
found in Christ is not sectarian or bigoted.
We are to be tolerant of those who don’t
see life the same way. Followers of Jesus see this
as strength not a weakness. So mosques or temples
are allowed in a Christianised democracy, where
as churches are closed down in many non-Christianised
nations.
- We are to love God. This means that we accept
what he says. Jesus made a unique claim that no
other leader of any other faith ever made. He claimed
to be the son of God (that was why they crucified
him), and he claimed to be the scapegoat for our
sins. He died instead of us. It was as if we were
in deaths row waiting to be executed, when at the
final moment Jesus came and took that lethal injection
instead of us. Consequently unless our sins are
dealt with there is no other way to God. Trying
to do better, give money to charity or even go
through severe religious rituals just will not
do.
OUTCOME
Live tolerant of others. Celebrate and enjoy the
differences in race and culture. Take a long hard
look at the claims of Jesus. Make a choice on what
you believe. Endeavour to make the world a more
peaceful place. |

Q.
What is a Christian?
A. Any
person who has had a personal encounter with Jesus
Christ and now freely chooses to follow his ways.
They realise that they were unable to bring radical
change within themselves and needed God’s help.
They realise that Jesus came to build the bridge
between Heaven and earth, and that he is still actively
involved with people’s lives today. He gives
them a better life now, and the promise of eternal
life.
OUTCOME
Not afraid of the future. Realise that having more
stuff does not satisfy. Positive expectations.
Better relationships with others because of a better
understanding of themselves. Happier with who they
are and the way they look. |
|
Q. What does God think
about wealth or money?
A. It’s
good to have it- but not for it to have you. Poverty
is not a Christian virtue, but generosity is. If
you have it, or have the ability to get it, then
use it to do good. Most followers of Jesus will give
at least 10% of their income away, often much more.
Don’t look at the size of the cheque you give,
look at the percentages. Often times those who have
the most are the stingiest on the planet when percentages
are looked at. Be a generous giver. Don’t leave
this world the same you found it. |

Q. Do you believe in the supernatural power of God?
A. Yes.
Many people have a personal story of divine intervention.
They have been healed in some way or experienced
a direct answer to their prayers.
The BBC, ITV, Glasgow Herald, and others have reported
on these events. More than 35,000 people have attended
healing meetings at Destiny over the last five years.
OUTCOME
People bring people to experience this for themselves.
People start praying. Long-term unemployed get
back to work. Fewer doctors visits. Money saved
in that no further medication is required. Hope. |
