Hope Hubs

What is a Hope Hub?

A Hope hub is the local expression of the Destiny Church aiming to meet the physical, practical and spiritual needs of those within that community.

We see these places being a beacon of Hope within a community, a place where people can come and be helped to move from crisis through to Christ.

Hope Hub – Glasgow Gorbals

We launched our fist Hope Hub in the Gorbals area of Glasgow in April ’22 with the opening of our Community Grocery in partnership with The Message Trust and our community cafe.

Glasgow Community Grocery – become a member of the Community Grocery to gain access to 2 weekly food shops for £4 a shop as well as exclusive access to wrap around services.

Community Cafe – Our cafe is designed to be a place where you can come, be together with others, enjoy some refreshments. With isolation and loneliness being a prevalent issue in our society we want to see friendship formed, relationships built and lives changed through their time at the cafe.

The local Hope Hub team will work with the local community to identify and work towards challenging the biggest issues within the community such as food and fuel poverty as well as running courses to tackle issues affecting living quality of the local people helping them to establish healthy living patterns and walk in a more successful way of life.

Some issue in life are more complex and take more to overcome which is why we have a Counselling service able to provide fully qualified counselling on:

  • Marital Issues
  • Addiction
  • Trauma
  • Mental Health
  • Bereavement
  • Financial Challenges
  • Student Life
  • Loneliness and Isolation

Come along and find Hope at 37 South Portland Street, Glasgow, G41 3QP between 9:30am and 4:30pm.

Our 2020 Vision was to open Hope Hubs in different areas. The Gorbals hope hub is the first of many… watch this space for more.
