Destiny Kids

If you came to Destiny Church in the morning and you turned your head towards the kids section of the church, you would wonder who let the dog out.

There in its full glory you would be greeted by DD, the Destiny Dalmatian, and Mascot of Destiny Kids whose sole purpose is to make sure the kids that come to Destiny Kids have fun and feel at home.

Destiny Kids runs on a Sunday morning from 11am in Shawlands, Glasgow City Centre and Glasgow West End with 4 different groups:

  • Age 1-3: play and songs, story time and snack time
  • Age 3-5: role play, story show, activities, snack time, songs and movement
  • Primary 1-4, Primary 5-7: large group time with music, media, art and role play elements; small group time with games, stories, interaction and meaningful group talks.

At night from 6pm Primary Kids can take part in a programme called ‘skills and words’ in the Shawlands Campus.

A short meaningful talk about a life principle from the Bible is followed by a night of skills – art, journalism, filming, or music. There is also a film or games night every month.

Kids under 5 will have a repetition of the morning but shorter and with more space to rest.

Destiny Kids is run by a team of dedicated young people that love God and love kids.

All our team take time to connect with children pastorally and we abide by our child protection policy.

Destiny Kids is aiming for all the children involved to experience the love of God, to help children cope with things like family break-up and help them find their identity and a deep sense of self-worth.

Research shows that children that feel loved are healthier and develop stronger, making better choices in life.

If you want your kids to join us, come along to one of the locations and register your child. Registration opens half an hour before every programme and parents are expected to stay on the campus where possible.

Please phone us on 0141 616 6777 for more information or if you want to register a child with special needs. Alternatively you can get in touch via email:

All the best for you and your family! You are doing an important and amazing job – and we are here to help you with our programme or pastoral care when needed.

Enjoy the journey - God is on your side!
